Looking to sell your clothes with Old Bear Vintage?

Here’s what you need to know!

As of Monday 4/6/2026, we now take walk-ins all day, every day! 

The only time we would be unable to take your items is if our queue is at capacity, but we will always do our best to give you an estimate on when we will be open again.

We ONLY take items at Old Bear THRIFT, located at 618 W. University Dr. Denton, TX 76201. Staff at Old Bear on the Square (114 N. Locust St.) will be unable to take or process any items you want to sell or donate, and will direct you to Old Bear THRIFT.

F.A.Q.

How do the walk-ins work?

Anytime the sign on our door says we ARE taking buys, that means we are happy to take a look at your items! Simply bring them in, and speak with an associate to get your items in the queue. They will have you read through and sign a Seller Agreement, and then give you a Receipt with the date/time you dropped your items off, and a pick-up number.

Make sure to bring your ID every time so we can scan it onto the back of your Seller Agreement. To process your buy, we need a valid, in-date, government issued ID. A driver’s license or passport will do!

Your items will be added to the queue to be processed by our Buyers. No items will ever sit in the queue for longer than 48 hours, and we will contact you by text AND call with your offer once it is complete!


What happens when my offer is ready?

Our team will send you a text and call you when your offer is complete! They will send a photo of your offer over text, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

After we contact you, you will have 24 hours to come retrieve any leftover items and your offer. After that 24 hour point, your items will be considered forfeit and you will automatically be issued the store credit offer to the email address you provided on your Seller Agreement.

If something emergent comes up that would make you unable to come back within that 24 hour timeline, please give us a call! While we can not guarantee holding your items for longer than 24 hours due to space restraints, we understand that things happen and we will do our best to accommodate.


What if I don’t want to take my leftover items home?

If there are any items we pass on purchasing that you don’t want to keep, you can donate them to our Bins Sale inventory! We host fill-a-bag style bins sales every three months, and each sale benefits a local Denton charity or organization. Our next sale will be in JUNE and will be benefiting PRIDENTON!


How many items can I bring?

A good number to stick to is usually 40 or less, but to give you a reference, take a look at the graphic below!

We can no longer take hard-sided containers such as storage tubs or cardboard boxes, due to our limited processing space. If you bring items in a hard-sided container, don't fret! We will supply you with up to two (2) plastic kitchen trash bags for you to transfer the items you most want us to look at. We appreciate your understanding!

We will look at vintage and modern clothes of almost any shape, size, color, style, fit, etc! We are always extra excited to see…

What kind of items is Old Bear NOT able to take?

  • Undergarments (bras, boxers, etc)

  • Excessively dirty items

  • Used socks/stockings/etc.

  • Items in unwearable condition (large holes, many holes, etc)

  • Items with excessive staining

  • Items with culturally offensive/insensitive iconography

Old Bear Vintage reserves the right to refuse clothing items for any reason including, but not limited to, the ones listed above, and/or if we are at capacity for buys.

 

What if I have a BUNCH of vintage items, or something really special?

This is the first time we’ve done walk-ins before, and although we have moved away from an appointment-based structure, if you have a lot of really incredible vintage items, we may be interested in scheduling a private appointment with you!
